Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri revealed on Thursday that his next film, "The Delhi Files," will be released in two parts.
He announced that the first part, named "The Delhi Files - The Bengal Chapter," is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 15, 2025, as stated in a post on X.
"MARK YOUR CALENDAR: August 15, 2025. After years of research, the story of #TheDelhiFiles is too powerful for one part. We’re excited to bring you 'The Bengal Chapter' – the first of two parts, unveiling a significant chapter in our history. #RightToLife," Agnihotri posted alongside an announcement poster of the movie.
The movie's plot details have been kept under the wraps.
Before "The Delhi Files," Agnihotri was the director of "The Kashmir Files" in 2022, which portrayed the mass departure of Kashmiri Hindus from the North Indian state after terrorists killed some members of the community.
In 2019, Agnihotri directed The Tashkent Files, a film about the enigmatic 1966 death of former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri in Uzbekistan.
Abhishek Agarwal Arts, led by producer Abhishek Agarwal and Agnihotri's wife Pallavi Joshi, is responsible for producing "The Delhi Files."
