The wedding festivities for Anshula Kapoor and her fiancé, Rohan Thakkar, commenced on Sunday, June 21, with an intimate gathering attended by close family and friends. Several members of the Kapoor family joined the celebrations and shared highlights from the event on social media. Maheep Kapoor and her daughter, Shanaya Kapoor, posted photographs from the occasion on Instagram, with Shanaya writing, “We love you @anshulakapoor @rohanthakkar1511,” and Maheep captioning her post, “Shaadi begins Jai Mata Di, Anshula and Rohan.”
The pictures showed how radiant Anshula looked in a lehenga that had embroidery of gold and beige colours. The lehenga was well matched with the phulkari dupatta which was colourful. It had embroidery done all over it together with crystals and zardozi work. Rohan looked perfect with his maroon sherwani.
Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor were also in attendance, elegantly dressed in traditional attire. Janhvi wore a pink silk saree with an embroidered red blouse and gold jewellery, while Khushi donned a blush pink kurti and gharara set, accessorised with emeralds.
The couple had previously held their Gor Dhana ceremony in a private event on 2 October last year, surrounded by their inner circle. More recently, Anshula celebrated her bachelorette trip in Seoul with close friends, sharing pictures from the holiday on social media and affectionately dubbing her group the “Seoulsters for life.” These initial celebrations reflect a joyful, elegant lead-up to the main wedding, beautifully combining travel, friendship, and family.
