Bollywood star couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have announced the arrival of their first child, a baby girl, on Sunday.
The actors, known for their films like "Ram-Leela," "Bajirao Mastani," and "83," shared the news via a joint Instagram post, stating, "Welcome Baby Girl! 8.9.2024."
The couple welcomed their daughter a day after Deepika, 38, was admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai.
On the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi, the duo was seen offering prayers at the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai.
Deepika and Ranveer, who got married in a private ceremony at Lake Como, Italy, in 2018, had announced their pregnancy in February this year.
Speculation about Deepika's pregnancy first emerged when she was photographed covering her midsection at the 77th BAFTA awards, where she was a presenter.
The couple is set to make special appearances in Rohit Shetty's "Singham Again," which stars Ajay Devgn and is scheduled for a Diwali release.
