In a move aimed at streamlining the casting process and tackling fraudulent practices, Yash Raj Films (YRF) has launched a dedicated mobile application for aspiring actors.
The YRF Casting App, available for download now, bypasses intermediaries and offers global talent a direct line to casting calls for the production house's film and series projects.
Addressing a longstanding issue, YRF intends to use the app to combat the problem of fake casting calls made in the company's name.
Beyond providing legitimate casting information, the app allows budding actors to register their profiles and submit audition materials directly to YRF.
Shanoo Sharma, the casting director responsible for selecting and grooming actors for YRF productions, expressed her enthusiasm about the app's potential.
