Deepinder Goyal, the CEO and founder of Zomato, known for his recent initiatives such as launching a 'Veg Only' service targeting vegetarians, has entered matrimonial bonds for the second time with Grecia Munoz, a Mexican model-turned entrepreneur, according to sources.
Goyal, aged 41, was previously married to Kanchan Joshi, reportedly a former colleague from their days at IIT Delhi.
"Grecia, who has been managing her own startup in the luxury consumer products sector in India, was formerly a model. Their union took place a few months ago," a source informed PTI.
Munoz, whose Instagram bio states 'Born in Mexico now at home in India', boasts accolades such as winning the Metropolitan Fashion Week in 2022.
This development follows a recent controversy surrounding Zomato's plans for separate green uniforms for its new vegetarian-only food delivery service. Goyal swiftly responded to the backlash, announcing the reversal of the plan within 24 hours.
In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Goyal revealed the decision to rename the consumer feature as "veg-only mode" in response to feedback, moving away from the previous "pure veg mode" designation.
