130 nukes aimed at India: Pak Min's threat over Indus, trade

Pakistan’s Railways Minister, Hanif Abbasi, has openly threatened India with nuclear retaliation, warning that Pakistan’s arsenal, which includes Ghori, Shaheen, and Ghaznavi missiles, along with 130 nuclear warheads, is aimed directly at India.

Abbasi’s remarks followed India’s announcement to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty and revoke all visas for Pakistani nationals in response to the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives. He declared, “If they stop the water supply to us, then they should be ready for a war. The military equipment we have, the missiles we have, they’re not for display. Nobody knows where we have placed our nuclear weapons across the country. I say it again, these ballistic missiles, all of them are targeted at you.”

Mocking India’s countermeasures, Abbasi emphasised that New Delhi would soon realise the consequences of its actions. He also warned of a collapse in India’s aviation sector due to Pakistan’s airspace closure, stating, “If things were to continue like this for another 10 days, the airlines in India would go bankrupt.”

Abbasi’s comments were a direct response to India’s decision to suspend trade and water supply with Pakistan. He also accused India of shifting blame for the Pahalgam attack onto Pakistan, without addressing its own security shortcomings. Pakistan, he said, was already preparing to counter any economic measures that India might impose.

Abbasi’s comments echo those of Pakistan’s Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif, who recently admitted in an interview that Pakistan had supported and trained terrorist groups for decades. Asif, however, placed the blame for this on the United States and Western countries, including Britain, stating, “We have been doing this dirty work for the US and the West, including Britain, for three decades.” Asif further claimed that had Pakistan not participated in the Soviet war and the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, it would have maintained an “unimpeachable track record.”

Asif also stirred controversy by accusing India of “staging” the Pahalgam attack as part of a strategy to create a regional crisis targeting Pakistan. He dismissed Lashkar-e-Taiba as a defunct group and claimed that he had never heard of The Resistance Front, the group blamed for the Pahalgam attack.

Notably, Abbasi also announced that Pakistani railway stations have been handed over to the Pakistan Army.

The development allows the military to mobilise troops and equipment via the country's rail network at any time.

"Soldier desks have been established at stations, and arrangements have been completed for the transport of tanks and other military gear,"Abbasi further revealed.
