79 aid-seekers among 115 killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza

People in Muslim countries, particularly from the Middle East and North Africa, including Tunisia, Iraq, Türkiye, Morocco, Lebanon, and the occupied West Bank’s Ramallah, have taken to the streets of their cities to denounce Israel’s siege of Gaza.

The Israeli military has killed at least 67 people waiting for UN aid lorries in northern Gaza.


As many as 115 people, including 79 aid seekers, have been killed in the latest Israeli attacks at the Zikim crossing and 13 others at GHF-run sites in Gaza. The Gaza Health Ministry said on Monday that 19 more people have died due to starvation in the last 24 hours.


People in Muslim countries, particularly from the Middle East and North Africa, including Tunisia, Iraq, Türkiye, Morocco, Lebanon, and the occupied West Bank’s Ramallah, have taken to the streets of their cities to denounce Israel’s siege of Gaza. The World Food Program (WFP) said on Sunday that a large crowd was waiting for the aid distribution as their 25-truck convoy entered the Zikim corridor into Gaza to deliver supplies.


“As the convoy approached, the surrounding crowd came under fire from Israeli tanks, snipers, and other gunfire,” it said on X, adding that the incident resulted in the loss of “countless lives” with many more “These people were seeking aid for their starving families when Israeli forces started shooting, which resulted in the deaths of 79, with scores injured," it said.

Meanwhile, UNICEF has said that approximately 650,000 children in Gaza have been denied access to education since the start of the war on October 8. Many children in makeshift camps and shelters now spend their days searching for food, water, and firewood, while Israel’s army has killed tens of thousands and displaced more than 90 per cent population.


Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 58,895 people and wounded 140,980. An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the October 7, 2023, attacks, and more than 200 were taken captive.
