An Air Dynasty helicopter crashed in the Shivpuri area of Nepal's Nuwakot district on Wednesday afternoon, killing five travelling, authorities confirmed.
The helicopter, piloted by senior captain Arun Malla, had departed from Kathmandu at 1:54 PM en route to Syaphrubensi.
Tragically, contact with the helicopter was lost just three minutes into the flight, around Surya Chaur, at 1:57 PM.
On board were five individuals, including four Chinese nationals headed to Rasuwa and the pilot.
Local media reports highlighted that the helicopter lost communication with ground staff shortly after takeoff.

Rescue operations commenced swiftly at the crash site, but fears remain high that all five on board may have perished.
Sources from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) have confirmed the initiation of an investigation into the crash.
Earlier in July, eighteen people were killed after a plane crashed and caught fire while it was taking off from Nepal's capital, Kathmandu.
The Saurya Airlines flight was carrying 17 company employees, including technical staff, as well as two crew members. It was bound for the Himalayan tourism hub of Pokhara in the country's west.
