A 24-year-old British Sikh woman has been killed and a man in his 20s remains in hospital following a stabbing at a property in west London, the Metropolitan Police said.
Kirandeep Kaur was found suffering from stab injuries after officers, accompanied by the London Ambulance Service, responded to the property on Uxbridge Road in Hayes. Despite the efforts of emergency services, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have arrested 44-year-old Daniel Sean James in connection with the incident. He appeared before Willesden Magistrates' Court on Tuesday and was charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of a bladed article.
The second victim, a man in his 20s, remains in hospital for treatment. Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing and the events that led to the fatal attack.
