The India-US CEO Forum's Working Group 7 (WG7) on Entrepreneurship, Inclusive Growth, and Promoting Small Businesses, along with the United Services Institute (USI) and CyberPeace Foundation, has launched a bilateral knowledge-sharing platform between India and the US.
USI hosted a forum to discuss inclusive growth, trade, and support for startups and MSMEs in the digital era. The event also marked the debut of 'Prakshepan,' an innovation Hackathon, and workshops on Cybersecurity & AI Capacity Building for MSMEs and startups.
The workshops aim to safeguard MSMEs and startups from online threats and equip them with the necessary knowledge and tools for resilient security structures. Dr. Subi Chaturvedi, Chief Corporate Affairs & Public Policy Officer at InMobi, expressed optimism about enhancing bilateral relations and fostering inclusive growth through empowering startups and integrating MSMEs into the global supply chain.
She highlighted the significance of collaborative efforts in cybersecurity and capacity-building to create a secure business environment and contribute to socio-economic development. The 'Prakshepan' hackathon, focusing on fostering innovation, particularly among women-led businesses, seeks to bolster India-US relations.
Mahaveer Singhvi, Joint Secretary (New Emerging and Strategic Technologies Division), Ministry of External Affairs, lauded the initiatives, emphasising the government's commitment to enhancing bilateral trade and innovation. Major Vineet Kumar from CyberPeace Foundation stressed the importance of cybersecurity workshops in creating a safe internet environment for all.
The dialogue and launch, supported by InMobi, Mastercard, and Tata Sons, were attended by various dignitaries, including Jonathan Heimer, Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs, United States Government, who pledged continued support for the forum's success. The event also featured insights from Major Gen (Dr) Pawan Anand and Varun Sakhuja of Mastercard.
