The operations were intensified across North and South Gaza, where hundreds of thousands are currently living in makeshift accommodations provided by the United Nations.

At least five Israeli soldiers have been killed, with two more seriously injured, in an incident in northern Gaza, Israeli military officials said. Reports from the Israeli military suggest that another 12 soldiers were injured when a bomb planted on the side of the road exploded near the soldiers who were marching on foot in Beit Hanoon around 10 PM local time on Monday.

Meanwhile, United States President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have held negotiations at the white House, with both touting their controversial proposal to push besieged Palestinians out of Gaza.

The meeting comes at a time when Israeli forces killed 60 Palestinians on Monday, while the Israeli negotiators were discussing a peace proposal in Qatar.

However, Houthis in Yemen have launched and damaged another ship in two days in the Red Sea, targeting an Israel-bound vessel with rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs).

The developments in the region are taking place at an unprecedented pace. The Israeli prime minister, during his dinner with Trump at the white house, told reporters that he is working with the US president to find countries that will accept taking Palestinians who are forcibly displaced from Gaza.

Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 57,523 people and wounded 136,617, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.
