This year marks the 10th anniversary of the deadly terror attacks that killed more than 130 people in and around Paris, carried out by the dreaded Islamic State (IS) terror group on November 13, 2015.

Observing a decade of the dastardly attack, French President Emmanuel Macron is expected to visit the sites of the attacks before presiding over a commemoration ceremony at a memorial garden in central Paris.

France will also inaugurate a Terrorism Memorial Museum in 2029, which will house around 500 objects linked to the attacks or their victims – including a concert ticket donated by a mother who lost her only daughter at the Bataclan concert hall attack. The various items have been given to curators by other such bereaved family members.

The museum will also have blackboard menu of La Belle Equipe riddled with bullet holes, still bearing the words ‘Happy Hour’.

The terror attacks had claimed the lives of 90 people at the Bataclan concert hall alone, where the American band, Eagles of Death Metal, was playing.

Terrorists killed dozens more at Parisian restaurants and cafes, and one person near the Stade de France football stadium just outside the capital, where crowds were watching France play Germany.

“France over these years has been able to stand united and overcome it all,” said François Hollande, who was President of France at the time.

The only surviving member of the attackers is currently lodged in a French prison serving a life sentence, while nine others blew themselves up or were killed by police.
