Israeli Air Force Launches Fresh Airstrikes Targeting Hezbollah in Lebanon.

In a significant escalation, the Israeli military has initiated a new series of airstrikes in Lebanon, targeting installations associated with Hezbollah. According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), these strikes are aimed at neutralising threats posed by rocket launchers and other military facilities linked to the group.

IDF Spokesperson Daniel Hagari reported on Saturday evening that "dozens of Israeli Air Force aircraft are currently striking terrorist targets and rocket launchers to remove the threat to Israeli civilians."

This military action comes in response to rising tensions and reports indicating that Hezbollah was preparing for substantial rocket attacks against Israel. Footage released by Lebanese media has shown large explosions as a result of these strikes.

As the situation escalates, the IDF has implemented new safety measures for civilians living in northern Israel, particularly in areas extending from Haifa northward.

Hagari urged residents to adhere to the guidelines issued by the Home Front Command, stating, “It is possible that in the immediate time frame, rockets and other threats may be launched at Israel.”

The updated guidelines, which took effect at 20:30 local time, include several restrictions aimed at ensuring public safety. Gatherings are now limited to 30 people outdoors and 300 indoors. Furthermore, work must only take place in protected spaces, and educational activities may continue only in locations where safe environments are available.

Cities close to the Lebanese border, such as Haifa, Akko, and Nahariya, have reportedly closed their beaches as a precautionary measure. The new restrictions apply to regions including the Lower and Upper Galilee, Haifa Bay, Central Galilee, and parts of the Israeli-occupied southern Golan Heights.

As tensions continue to rise, the situation in the region remains fluid, with both sides bracing for further developments. The ongoing conflict underscores the fragile security landscape in northern Israel and the broader implications for regional stability.
