Australian influencer Lil Golo attempted to run through 1000 strips of duct tape, resulting in hospitalisation.

In the race for internet fame, some influencers go to extreme lengths, even risking their lives with ridiculous stunts. One such influencer from Australia recently ended up in the hospital after filming a bizarre stunt for YouTube.

Lil Golo, a social media personality, challenged himself to run through a wall of duct tape to see how many strips it would take to stop him. In the video, he runs shirtless through strips of tape stuck to playground equipment. Covered in tattoos and sporting a spiky mohawk, he runs through 100 strips of tape with little trouble while his friends cheer him on.

The video then shows him buying $400 worth of duct tape to continue his stunt. Instead of stopping at 200 or 500 strips, he goes straight for 1,000 strips. A crowd gathers as he runs into the wall of tape, slamming to the ground.

Not stopping there, he tries again, this time running head-first into the tape and getting knocked out. His friends rush to his side as he struggles to breathe, and an ambulance arrives shortly after. A man holding his hand expresses relief that Lil Golo didn’t snap his neck. The video ends with Lil Golo in a neck brace at the hospital.

Known for his "unique" stunts, Lil Golo said he might retire after this one. He shared a photo of himself in the hospital on Instagram, saying, “I am about to drop the dumbest video I’ve ever done. After they release me from here, I think I’m gonna retire the Lil Golo stunt arc. Sorry for scaring everyone, I’m alive, don’t worry, love you all.”

It’s not clear what injuries he sustained, but he seems to have full movement in his hands and legs now. Many viewers criticized the stunt as “stupid” and called Lil Golo an “idiot” for risking his life for fame.
