The IRGC command has confirmed that it is preparing for war once again in case the US decides to break the ceasefire, which they believe is imminent because Washington is not accepting the terms of Iran's peace proposal.

Iran is preparing for a fresh phase of military confrontation with the United States as tensions between the two nations continue to escalate over the Strait of Hormuz and recent attacks on the UAE.

Iranian state-owned media claimed that IRGC naval forces hit two US warships after they tried to infiltrate the contested waterway without authorisation— a claim strongly denied by the United States.

The development has pushed tensions to unprecedented levels, especially after US President Donald Trump issued fresh threats against Iran.

The IRGC command has confirmed that it is preparing for war once again in case the US decides to break the ceasefire, which they believe is imminent because Washington is not accepting the terms of Iran's peace proposal. Earlier on Monday, the IRGC had issued an open threat to US forces against any attempt to forcefully enter the blocked Strait of Hormuz.

The latest tensions come as Iranian authorities are mobilising supporters and preparing for a potentially prolonged conflict.

Tehran continues to exchange proposals with the US through mediators, including Pakistan, in an effort to end the war that began on February 28.

Like the US, Iran is also reviewing the latest text received from Washington but has urged a more realistic and balanced approach from President Trump.

Authorities in Tehran have stressed that they will discuss “nothing except for the full end to the war at this stage", Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei told reporters.

Nearly one month after a fragile ceasefire halted large-scale fighting, Iranian authorities are working to reconstitute their missile and drone capabilities, including by reopening bombed entrances to underground bases housing munitions and military equipment.
