Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched retaliatory missiles and drone strikes on energy facilities in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain following Israeli attacks on Iran’s South Pars gas field and naval assets at Bandar Anzali on Wednesday night.

The strikes caused massive fires at three energy facilities in Qatar, including the main RasLaffan gas complex, forcing the temporary shutdown of the UAE's Habshan gas facility on Thursday morning.

Iran also carried out extensive attacks on Saudi gas infrastructure, triggering a sharp war of words between Tehran and Riyadh.

Qatari government officials responded by ordering Iranian security and military attachés to leave the country after the strikes caused “extensive damage” to RasLaffan.

In Bahrain, the Ministry of Interior urged residents to seek shelter and remain calm as air raid sirens sounded across the kingdom, warning of incoming aerial threats.

Riyadh condemned the attacks, stating, "The little trust that remained in Iran has been completely shattered after it launched massive strikes on energy infrastructure across the Gulf.”

The Iranian strikes came in response to US-Israeli joint operations targeting Iran’s navy and the South Pars gas field. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned of “uncontrollable consequences” that could “engulf the entire world".

Iran's retaliatory barrages on Israel killed four people in Tel Aviv and the occupied West Bank.

US President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social: “With or without the help or consent of Israel, we will massively blow up the entirety of the South Pars Gas Field with an amount of strength and power that Iran has never seen or witnessed before.”

He added, "I do not want to authorise this level of violence and destruction because of the long-term implications that it will have on the future of Iran, but if Qatar’s LNG is again attacked, I will not hesitate to do so.”
