Iran’s targeting of Israel’s Haifa port was confirmed by Israeli officials on Friday, while Iran’s targeting of Qatar’s Ras Laffan gas facility has brought down supply by 17 per cent, which might disrupt supplies to Europe, Asia and beyond.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran has only used a small portion of its military capabilities and firepower in attacks on energy infrastructure at Israel’s Haifa port and regional countries.

He said Tehran will show zero restraint if Israel or the US strikes Iran’s South Pars gas facilities.

Israeli officials said an oil refinery in the northern city of Haifa has been struck in an Iranian missile attack, but no “significant” damage was reported, as Tehran continues to retaliate across the region for strikes on its energy infrastructure.

Energy Minister Eli Cohen said, “The damage to the power grid in the north is localised and not significant.”

Since Monday, Iran has carried out widespread attacks on Israel, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain in response to US-Israel strikes on Tehran.

Israeli officials confirmed on Thursday that four people were injured in a rocket attack in Kiryat Shmona. However, they later confirmed that at least two people were killed in a distinct attack.

Additionally, Israeli medical and emergency services said that they treated many people who were injured in the Iranian missile attacks.

The United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Japan have said they will consider preparing a mission to help remove the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz.

Though the precondition for deployment will be cessation of the hostilities between Iran and the US.
