The Israeli military said that it carried out night airstrikes on Houthis in Yemen on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, a day after the group fired a ballistic missile at one of Israel's main international airports.
The Israeli defence forces said it struck Hodeidah port in western Yemen and the surrounding area. Officials also said that the targets included some factories which provide critical support to the Houthis.
They claimed “the Hodeidah port was being used to transport weapons supplied by Iran, and the cement factory was used for the construction of tunnels and military infrastructure.”
Confirming the development, the Houthis ' media outlet said 21 civilians were injured in the airstrike on the factory.

According to the IDF, the strikes carried out by some 20 IAF fighter jets targeted Houthi infrastructure along the coast of Yemen. The jets dropped 50 munitions on the Houthi targets, the military said.
“The strike was conducted in response to the repeated attacks by the Houthi regime against Israel, during which surface-to-surface missiles and UAVs were launched toward Israeli territory,” the military said in a statement.
On Sunday, a missile fired by the group landed near the Ben-Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv, injuring at least six people.
Tensions in the region are reaching new heights after Israel carried out strikes in Syria, Lebanon, and now Yemen.
