At least 41 civilians, including 13 children, were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Sunday amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. According to official accounts from Al Aqsa hospitals, at least 22 individuals died in the strikes targeting Al Mufti School in Gaza’s Nuseirat refugee camp.
Tragically, one infant was among the casualties, succumbing shortly after arrival despite medical teams' attempts to revive him.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) School is currently sheltering over 5,000 displaced individuals, as reported by Gaza’s Civil Defence and Health Ministry.
In North Gaza, five children were killed during an Israeli airstrike while they were playing with marbles in Al Shati camp, according to Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. Earlier in the day, eight members of a family, including six children, were killed in an Israeli strike on a house in the Nuseirat refugee camp where they were taking shelter.
Additionally, six more people died when an Israeli tank shelled the Bureij refugee camp. The conflict, which escalated following Hamas's border assault on Israel on October 7, has resulted in over 42,000 deaths to date.
