Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and television journalist Lauren Sánchez were married on Friday in a sumptuous ceremony held on the idyllic island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy, marking the culmination of a lavish three-day celebration.
The ceremony, attended by around 200 guests, took place in the shadow of the historic Doge’s Palace, with the couple exchanging vows before an audience of global elites ferried in by private yachts and motorboats. Sánchez confirmed the marriage via an Instagram post, sharing a jubilant image of herself in a white lace gown beside Bezos in a classic tuxedo.
Fashion house Dolce & Gabbana designed Sánchez’s custom bridal attire, a detail confirmed by Vogue, underlining the high-fashion splendour that characterised the occasion.
The wedding festivities transformed Venice into a confluence of celebrity, fashion, and power, echoing across the Venetian lagoon with music, laughter, and discreet security. Friday night featured a romantic musical performance by Matteo Bocelli, son of opera icon Andrea Bocelli, drawing applause from a crowd awash with influence and stardom.

Guests included an array of high-profile figures spanning the worlds of entertainment, technology, business, and politics. Notable among them were Oprah Winfrey, actor Orlando Bloom, film mogul Barry Diller, and musicians Usher and Jewel. Hollywood heavyweight Leonardo DiCaprio, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and former NFL quarterback Tom Brady were also reportedly in attendance.

Although US President Donald Trump did not make an appearance, his daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner were spotted among the guests, accompanied by Josh Kushner and his wife, model Karlie Kloss.

The marriage marks a new chapter for the billionaire entrepreneur and his long-time partner, whose relationship has been under public scrutiny since 2019. The opulence of the Venetian affair, much like their lives, was anything but understated.
