Kapil Sharma’s cafe in Surrey, Canada, came under gunfire once again on Wednesday, marking the third attack on the property in recent months. Reports indicate that at least three rounds were fired, though no injuries were reported. A video circulating online shows the cafe’s exterior shortly after the incident.
Gangsters Goldy Dhillon and Kulvir Sidhu, linked to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, have claimed responsibility for the attack via social media posts, according to local sources. Surrey police have launched a formal investigation, as the cafe remains under heightened security.
“This is the third attack on the cafe so far,” a police spokesperson said, adding that authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and tracing potential leads. The development comes as the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has previously targeted high-profile individuals and properties in Canada and India.
The cafe, jointly owned by Kapil Sharma and his wife Ginni Chatrath, first came under attack on July 10, when local authorities suspected involvement of the Laddi gang with alleged links to the banned Khalistani outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). The second attack on August 7 saw over 25 rounds fired at the property, leaving the community shocked.

Kapil Sharma is expected to receive police protection in the wake of repeated threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Security officials in Surrey are reportedly coordinating with Indian authorities to ensure comprehensive measures are in place.
“The recurring nature of these attacks underlines the seriousness of the threats posed to Sharma and his business interests,” said a security analyst.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has been linked to multiple criminal incidents across India and abroad, has increasingly used social media to issue claims and intimidate targets, raising concerns about cross-border criminal operations.
