Iranian Supreme Leader and commander of the National Security Council, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said that the next war will end with the destruction of Israel.
Addressing a gathering in Tehran late on Monday evening, Khamenei said, “Israel would not even survive a week without US backing.”
On US-Iran relations, he said the two countries represent two different currents, and that Washington must take several necessary steps before it can establish ties with Iran.
Referring to some statements by the US experts on establishing ties between the two nations, Khamenei said, “Cooperation with Iran is not compatible with the US’s cooperation and support for the accursed Zionist regime.”
“Negotiating with the US, which has strings attached to Israel, would not bear any fruit for either side. The US has to play a more proactive and neutral role in the context of the Middle Eastern region.
Israel is acting recklessly; it needs to stop land grabs, bombing poorly equipped countries and, most importantly, killing people in Gaza,” the Supreme Leader said.

Responding to questions on whether Iran would ever engage in relations with the US, he said, “the inherent arrogant nature of the US accepts nothing but submission, while Trump openly admitted it. Others made veiled references.”
“The US were daydreaming to believe that they could make us submit. Washington has to understand that when Tehran engages in talks, it will always be on equal footing,” he said.
Khamenei added, “We cannot predict the distant future, but at present, all must know that the solution to many problems lies in becoming stronger."
Observers believe that with Iran’s recent statements on rebuilding the nuclear programme, a likely confrontation between Iran and Israel with the US firmly behind Tel Aviv might happen again.
