Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has ordered the mobilisation of more than 3.4 million militia members, including the civil defence members and commoners alike, to defend the country against a possible US invasion.
As the news of a possible confrontation between the countries spread, thousands of volunteers, including Veterans, housewives, and civil servants, queued up to join the fight against the United States.
Maduro called on citizens of his country to join the resistance against the current US “threat” that is looming over the country after Donald dispatched his three advanced warships near the shores of Venezuela. Troop and militia mobilisation is a sign of strength that Maduro aims to send across to the United States, which has doubled the bounty to $50 million for the Venezuelan president.
This is not the first time the United States has sought to remove an elected president of the country under the pretext of an election. The US has done similar things in the Middle East, be it Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, Iraq, Yemen, or Syria, where millions of people have died over a false cause to achieve Western-style democracy and freedom.
The US is now trying to do the same in Venezuela as well, though it has failed to hatch a conspiracy and internal destabilisation in Caracas. Maduro said this week that the militia alone has more than 4.5 million ready soldiers.

However, the most recent independent estimate tallied about 343,000 members in 2020, according to the International Institute for Strategic Studies.
Though these independent estimates have not included the vast majority of Venezuelans who are battle-ready and also willing to sacrifice their lives for the country. In case it invades or launches military strikes on Caracas, the two countries may likely get involved in a deadly conflict in the region.
Besides, Maduro maintains an immense influence on the drug cartels which are operating on US soil, so any confrontation in Venezuela could spark a separate deadly conflict on the US mainland.
