Former First Lady Michelle Obama has emerged as the leading choice to replace President Joe Biden as the Democratic Party's candidate for the upcoming presidential elections, according to a recent poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports.

The survey revealed that nearly half of the Democrats who participated in the Rasmussen Reports polls expressed their preference for someone other than Biden to represent the party in the US Presidential elections.

Approximately 48% of the Democrats polled expressed approval for the idea of finding another candidate to replace Biden before the November election, compared to 38% who disagreed.

Among the potential candidates, Michelle Obama garnered approximately 20% of the votes, surpassing other contenders such as Vice President Kamala Harris, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, California Governor Gavin Newsom, and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.Kamala Harris received about 15% of the votes, while 12% favored a rematch between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Despite widespread speculation about potential challengers, Michelle Obama has repeatedly been called upon to consider running for the presidential election.

She recently expressed deep concerns about the upcoming elections, stressing on the importance of “not taking democracy for granted.”

Meanwhile, the lineup for the 2024 US election has appeared relatively predetermined, with many anticipating a rematch between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Biden maintains that he is the most qualified candidate, despite concerns raised by polls regarding his age.

In contrast, Trump remains adamant about his intention to run for office again, despite facing potential criminal charges that could theoretically result in a lengthy prison sentence before the election.
