Milan Fashion Week eyes the future of styling while holding on to traditions

The fashion week is all set to keep those having a penchant for style hooked all throughout. Marco De Vincenzo — the boss of the leather industry — is about to debut its collection at 8 pm CET on February 21.

A glimpse from the runway of Milan Fashion Week.


Host of parallel events and a Twinset show marked the beginning of Milan Fashion Week, which kickstarted from February 20 and will conclude on February 26. Shows by the known fashion houses started today, marking the beginning of the business. Known Russian model Natasha Poly to American model and actress Amber Valletta, Faretta from Croatia and Franziska Jetzek from Germany were present at the onset of the week dedicated to fashion, creativity, glamour, designs and everything that is trending in terms of style.

 

The on-going clothing trade week takes place twice a year in Milan, Italy. Notable, fashion freaks look up to the show, which is known for pushing the narrative around fashion beyond geo-political borders. It is learnt that this time those attending the show will catch the perfect amalgamation of craftsmanship fused in tradition and elements of futuristic value, thereby setting the stage for the future of fashion.

 

Innovative designs and cutting-edge collections kept the onlookers hooked. The runway shows had an exhibit of notable brands— Prada, Emporio Armani and Max Mara to avant-garde presentations of upcoming designers. Additionally, Fendi, Del Core, Roberto Cavalli, and Etro, will also feature runway spectacles along with Marco De Vincenzo. The latter is about to debut its collection at 8 pm CET on February 21.

 

It is learnt that February 22 will see the official launch of Adrian Appiolaza’s creative tenure at Moschino, commemorated at the Museo della Permanente, followed by exciting presentations from Max Mara, Prada, Emporio Armani and others.

 

The runaway will have presentations from brands such as Tod’s, Blumarine, Sportmax, Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini, Gucci, Marni, Sunnei, MSGM, Versace, Philipp Plein, Ferrari, Ferragamo, Jil Sander, Missoni, Bally, and Bottega Veneta.

 

Brands like Annakiki and Laura Biagiotti will feature their digital exhibits on the final day of February 26. Those having a penchant for fashion will get a lot of scoops from the runway of Milan Fashion Week. Holding on to the traditions and eyeing the future of fashion, onlookers are expected to get their heads turned all throughout.
