A wedding ceremony in Suzhou, China, took an unexpected turn after a mother identified the bride as her long-lost daughter, triggering an emotional family reunion that has since gone viral on social media.
According to local reports, the groom’s mother noticed a distinctive birthmark on the bride’s hand during the ceremony and immediately asked the bride’s parents whether their daughter had been adopted. The parents reportedly confirmed that they had found the bride as an abandoned infant many years ago and had raised her as their own.
The revelation prompted the groom’s mother to break down, claiming that the young woman was her biological daughter, who had gone missing as a baby decades earlier. The bride also became emotional and said she had long hoped to find her biological mother.

Despite the tearful scenes that followed, the families agreed to continue with the wedding. It later emerged that the groom had himself been adopted by the woman who had lost her daughter and was not biologically related to the bride, allowing the marriage to proceed.

Images of the mother and daughter embracing have since been widely shared online, prompting thousands of reactions and sparking debate about the circumstances behind the bride’s disappearance.
