As many as 100 terrorists belonging to various outfits have been killed in Pakistan’s North Waziristan in the night-long anti-terror operations along the Afghan border.
The majority of these terrorists, according to Pakistan's Director General of Inter-Service Public Relations, were taken out in the latest air and drone strikes carried out along the Afghan border.
The strikes were carried out against the Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group (HGB), a terrorist faction operating in the border areas of Afghanistan adjacent to North and South Waziristan.
The operation came after a series of terrorist attacks launched from Afghan territory over the past 48 hours targeting Pakistani forces.
Pakistan’s air force, with assistance from ground forces, has carried out multiple strikes, which they described were aimed at targeting the terrorists and their leadership sitting inside Afghanistan.
