Pakistan has accused the Taliban of supporting and perpetrating attacks on its military forces, saying Afghanistan allowed its territory to be used by the Khawarij terrorist group linked to TTP for the recent attacks on military camps.
The Pakistan Foreign Office also summoned the Afghan Deputy Head of Mission in Islamabad, and demanded action against the terrorist groups operating from Kabul.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said that the “Afghan Taliban regime is actively supporting and enabling the Fitna-al-Khawarij/TTP to carry out terrorist attacks against the Pakistan military and civilian population along the Pak-Afghan border and in adjoining areas”.
It added that the facilitation of these terrorists on Afghan soil is a clear indication that the Taliban regime was lying to the international community.
The spokesperson also warned that should the Afghan side fail to take effective action, Pakistan reserves the right to defend itself, including through targeted operations against terrorists, wherever they may be located.
Earlier, Pakistani security forces killed four TTP-linked terrorists in North Waziristan, while losing four security forces personnel in the action.

The authorities suggested that these ‘khawarijis’ had attempted to breach the perimeter security; but were killed before they could reach the main entrance.
The desperate attackers did, however, ram an explosive-laden vehicle into the outer perimeter wall, resulting in its collapse and considerable damage to adjacent civilian infrastructure, including a mosque.
This act of terrorism, planned and orchestrated by Afghanistan-based Khawarij, as per Pak authorities, is in complete contrast to the “lies” that the Taliban has been telling in front of the international community.
Meanwhile, the Taliban regime has denied lending support to terrorist organisations, claiming Afghan soil was not used to plan attacks on Pakistan.
However, a recent UNSC report points to several incidents where the Afghan Taliban has been accused of harbouring and sheltering terrorists in the country.
During the recent border clashes, Pakistani forces had reportedly killed a top TTP commander in Kabul close to the perimeters of the country’s presidential palace, which Islamabad claims was irrefutable evidence that the Afghan Taliban was sheltering the terror groups.
