Authorities in Pakistan said on Tuesday that Islamabad would continue conducting nuclear tests to safeguard the nation's sovereignty against external threats.
Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry accused India of planning a “false flag” operation in the deep sea.
During his media interaction, the spokesperson threatened to launch an “unmeasured and all-out war” in case India were to launch any offensive against the country.
He said, “If India wants to do something in the sea, land, or air, they can do it. Pakistan will do whatever it takes to take care of it. We are very good at taking care of things.”
Asked if US President Donald Trump’s comments on nuclear weapons testing were accurate, He replied that the strategy of any country is fluid and that Islamabad will continue to carry out tests and trials as required for National security.
“Pakistan will not disclose any such move in public,” he said.

Meanwhile, contrary to the DGISPR statement, a high-ranking Pakistani official on Monday said, “Pakistan was not the first to carry out nuclear tests and will not be the first to resume nuclear tests.”
Trump, in his recent interview, said, “Russia’s testing, and China’s testing, but they don’t talk about it. We’re going to test, because they test and others test. And certainly North Korea’s been testing. Pakistan’s been testing.”
The friction with India has become one of the major concerns of the Pakistani establishment; the military commanders and diplomats, as well as mainstream politicians from both sides, have issued concerning statements recently.
New Delhi has warned Pakistan that any terror attacks on armed forces or civilians would be considered an act of war.
Experts, however, have said that the warning is symbolic, and it is well known that after the Pahalgam attack, several more encounters were reported in the Kashmir valley.
