PM Modi and PM Tusk Meeting in Warsaw Boosts India Poland Relations.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk held a high-level delegation meeting in Warsaw, marking a significant step in strengthening India-Poland relations. The meeting followed a grand ceremonial welcome at the Federal Chancellery, where Modi was greeted warmly by Tusk.

The visit is historic, being the first by an Indian Prime Minister to Poland in 45 years, and is expected to energise the bilateral partnership. The Ministry of External Affairs described the occasion as a "new landmark" in the relationship between the two countries.

During his visit, Modi highlighted the new social security agreement between India and Poland, which was announced on Wednesday. This agreement is set to enhance cooperation in various fields, including new technology and clean energy. Modi also pointed to the upcoming Kabaddi championship in Poland as a symbol of growing ties, noting that this event will be held in Poland for the first time.

Addressing the Indian community in Warsaw, Modi emphasised the role of innovation and youth in driving the development of both nations. He expressed optimism about the benefits of the new social security agreement for the Indian diaspora in Poland.

The visit also coincides with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Poland, underscoring the long-standing partnership between the two countries.

After his engagements in Poland, Modi is set to visit Ukraine at the invitation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Ukraine. This trip aims to further bolster diplomatic ties and explore new areas of cooperation.
