An all-party delegation led by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Member of Parliament Supriya Sule arrived in Cairo on Sunday, aiming to articulate India’s position of zero tolerance towards terrorism on the international stage as part of the Operation Sindoor outreach programme.
The delegation touched down in the Egyptian capital after concluding its engagements in Ethiopia. Upon arrival, the group was received by India’s Ambassador to Egypt, Suresh Reddy.
During their stay, the delegation is scheduled to participate in a series of engagements, including meetings with ministers, members of the Egyptian Parliament, as well as representatives of think tanks, the media, the Indian diaspora, and civil society groups. Officials described the itinerary as “packed and productive.”

This diplomatic outreach is part of a broader initiative involving seven multi-party delegations tasked with visiting 33 world capitals. The effort seeks to highlight, with renewed urgency, Pakistan’s continued links to terrorism.
Tensions between India and Pakistan flared following the Pahalgam terror attack earlier this year. In retaliation, Indian forces launched precision strikes on terror infrastructure located within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in the early hours of 7 May.
Subsequently, Pakistan mounted retaliatory attempts to target Indian military installations on 8, 9, and 10 May. However, Indian forces responded decisively, neutralising the threat.
The military exchanges came to a halt following a conversation between the directors general of military operations (DGMOs) of the two nations on 10 May. The agreement reached during these talks helped de-escalate the on-ground hostilities.
The visit by Sule and her colleagues comes at a time when New Delhi is intensifying efforts to expose Islamabad’s support for cross-border terrorism and to garner diplomatic backing from influential nations in Africa, the Middle East, and beyond.
