Former U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that he will not make a fourth bid for the White House if he loses the upcoming November 5 election.

In an interview aired on Sunday with Sharyl Attkisson's "Full Measure" program, Trump said, "No, I don’t. I think that will be it. I don’t see that at all."

The 78-year-old added that he remains hopeful about winning but sees no future presidential campaigns if unsuccessful.

Trump is facing a tight race against Democratic candidate and current U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris.

Polls indicate a neck-and-neck contest between the two, especially in key battleground states likely to determine the final outcome.

Nationally, Harris has gained a slight lead, but the results remain unpredictable as the race enters its final weeks.

This marks Trump’s third consecutive run for the presidency. He first launched his re-election campaign for the 2020 election the day he was inaugurated in 2017 and formally announced his latest bid in November 2022.

Despite his ongoing campaign, Trump continues to falsely assert that his 2020 defeat to President Joe Biden was due to widespread voter fraud, claims that have been thoroughly debunked.

Adding to his legal challenges, Trump faces federal and state criminal charges related to his alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election results. He denies all charges, framing them as politically motivated attacks designed to undermine his campaign.

His rhetoric has grown increasingly dystopian, particularly regarding the consequences of a 2024 defeat.

While focusing on the presidential race, Trump has also ventured into various business initiatives, including Trump Media, NFTs, and branded products such as sneakers, coins, and cryptocurrency. His entrepreneurial efforts have drawn attention as he seeks to expand his financial portfolio.

On the Democratic side, Kamala Harris has framed the election as pivotal for the future of U.S. democracy.

She has been addressing key issues such as rising living costs, family expenses, and housing, aiming to connect with everyday Americans.

Trump, reflecting on the past four years, commented that the time away from the presidency allowed him to reassess his alliances.

He added that the time apart "shows how bad they were," implying that his former team had failed him.

However, he stated it is "too early" to discuss potential cabinet appointments should he win in November.
