On Christmas Day, Donald Trump sent a sharp message on social media, wishing "Merry Christmas" to what he described as "Radical Left Lunatics" while targeting various political figures, including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and US President Joe Biden.

His posts, shared on Truth Social, included a mix of festive greetings and pointed remarks about ongoing political debates.

In his Christmas message, Trump expressed frustration with those he perceives as obstructing his agenda. He accused the political left of trying to undermine the justice system and elections, claiming that their only hope was to secure pardons from a leader who was unaware of what was happening.

The post also took aim at Prime Minister Trudeau of Canada, with Trump suggesting that Canadian citizens were burdened by high taxes. He added that if Canada were to become the 51st state, its citizens would see their taxes reduced by over 60%.

In a separate post, Trump made claims about the Panama Canal, suggesting that Chinese soldiers were operating the vital waterway. This statement was part of a broader criticism of the Biden administration’s handling of foreign affairs.

Trump's message also included retweets of articles and posts that backed his views, including his controversial Defence Secretary nominee, Pete Hegseth, and his interest in acquiring Greenland.

Trump’s Christmas messages were not just about political jabs. He also took the opportunity to announce his nomination of Miami-Dade County Commissioner Kevin Marino Cabrera as the new ambassador to Panama.

Trump praised Cabrera as someone with deep knowledge of Latin American politics and a strong advocate for "America First" policies.

Trump’s support for Cabrera underscored his commitment to bolstering the economic and political influence of the United States in the region.

He noted that Cabrera had played a significant role in promoting international partnerships and economic growth, adding that Cabrera’s understanding of Latin American issues would make him a valuable representative for the United States in Panama.

While Trump’s Christmas message sparked controversy, it was clear that his messaging was aimed at reinforcing his political positions ahead of his return to the White House.

His critics, however, would likely see the message as another example of his combative approach to politics, while his supporters would likely view it as a firm stance against those they see as undermining the country’s values.
