Trump to discuss Israel withdrawal and Gaza rebuilding plan.

United States President Donald Trump is likely to meet the officials of the Muslim majority countries after his opening speech at the annual session of the UN General Assembly on Tuesday.

The meeting aims to focus on the post-war reconstruction in Gaza, which has been under relentless assault from Israel.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Monday that Trump will hold a multilateral meeting with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia and Pakistan.

It is believed that Trump will present the group a proposal for peace and post-war governance in Gaza. The meeting will further focus on the captives' release and ending the war. Trump is supposed to negotiate Israeli withdrawal and post-governance in Gaza without Hamas involvement.

According to insider sources, Washington wants to influence the Arab nations to agree to send a military force to Gaza to enable Israel’s withdrawal and to secure funding for the transition and rebuilding programme.

Trump will be the first leader to speak during the inaugural session of the 80th UN General Assembly, taking place today. The nations said a two-state solution was the only way to achieve peace, but Israel said the recognition of a Palestinian state was a reward for extremism.

According to scholars and multiple experts, along with the UN inquiry members, Israel’s actions in Gaza amount to genocide. The international community has slammed the Netanyahu government over its siege of Gaza, forcing multiple nations to recognise the state of Palestine.

Before his re-election to the white house, Trump promised to end the conflict in Gaza and the Ukraine war within a week; however, he has failed to even address the unprecedented levels of atrocities happening in Gaza.
