With the win in Arizona, Trump now has 312 electoral college votes, compared to Vice President Harris's 226.

US President elect Donald Trump.

Donald Trump, the US president-elect, defeated Democratic opponent Kamala Harris in Arizona and all seven battleground states.

In this election, Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia were the seven battleground or swing states.

With the win in Arizona, Trump now has 312 electoral college votes, compared to Vice President Harris's 226. Arizona holds 11 electoral college votes.

The Republican Party is poised to maintain a majority in the House of Representatives and has reclaimed control of the Senate.

The Democrats currently hold 47 Senate seats, whereas the party currently holds 52.

Republicans currently hold 216 seats in the House, compared to 209 Democratic seats. 218 is the majority mark. Republicans are optimistic that they will secure enough seats to reach the halfway point.

The first Democrat to win Arizona since Bill Clinton in 1996 was President Joe Biden in 2020. Now, Trump has reversed it.

With a record number of migrants entering the state last year, he focused a lot of his campaign on border security, immigration, and violence caused by illegal immigrants.

Trump offered to utilise a portion of the military budget for border spending, advocated hiring 10,000 more border agents to guard the US-Mexico border, and predicted mass deportations.

The sixth state that Trump has flipped since Biden's 2020 Electoral College victory is Arizona.

Trump won this year in Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, the four states that Biden won. Additionally, Trump won North Carolina, a state he barely won in 2020. On January 20, Trump will take the oath of office as the 47th President of the United States.
