Tragedy struck in southwest Delhi’s Vasant Vihar on Thursday afternoon when a wall collapsed, killing two boys. The incident, which occurred around 4:45 pm, was a result of heavy rainfall and waterlogging in the area.
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) owned the collapsed wall, according to Delhi Police. The victims, ages 9 and 10, were originally from the Bihar districts of Madhubani and Begusarai, respectively.
According to preliminary inquiries, the wall abruptly collapsed while the boys were seated on a flight of stairs next to it. They were taken from the wreckage right away and taken in PCR vehicles to the AIIMS Trauma Centre, but when the medical staff arrived, they were pronounced dead.
Following the event, DDA authorities and disaster management personnel were notified. To make sure that no more persons are buried beneath the wreckage, debris cleanup procedures are presently in progress.

A 10-year-old child from Begusarai, Bihar, and a 9-year-old boy from Madhubani, Bihar, were extracted from the wreckage and transported in PCR vans to the AIIMS Trauma Center. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Amit Goel, doctors pronounced both of them dead.
According to the officer's initial investigation, the lads were seated on stairs next to the wall when it abruptly collapsed. The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) owns the wall, which is thought to have crumbled as a result of the area's waterlogging and extended rain, the DCP continued.
According to the police, the debris was being removed to prevent any more annoyance. According to them, the DDA has been notified and will conduct a thorough site investigation to evaluate the structural soundness of the surrounding walls. They noted that additional legal processes are underway and that the bodies have been retained for post-mortem examination.
