In a first for Odisha, the Indian Navy’s operational demonstration will be held at Puri’s Blue Flag Beach on December 4, offering a grand display of the Navy’s maritime prowess.
The event will feature 40 aircraft, including MiG-29Ks and Light Combat Aircraft (LCAs), alongside 25 warships, officials revealed on Saturday.
The demonstration will also include a parade and a commando display, showcasing the Navy’s operational capabilities.
President Droupadi Murmu will attend the event, accompanied by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Governor Raghubar Das, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and senior naval officials.
At a high-level meeting on Saturday, Odisha DGP YB Khurania directed senior police officers to ensure the smooth and disciplined conduct of the event.
He stressed the importance of close coordination among the state government, local administration, and the Navy.
“This is a unique opportunity for the public to witness the Indian Navy’s cutting-edge warships and aircraft,” said an official. Special arrangements will be made to facilitate public viewing of the operations.
The event marks the Navy’s first operational demonstration in Odisha, aiming to strengthen public engagement and showcase its preparedness to defend the nation's maritime interests.
