Kejriwal Promises Personal Letters to Delhi Residents.

Arvind Kejriwal, the National Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), recently launched a new initiative called the ‘Jan Sampark Abhiyan’ at the party's headquarters. This program aims to strengthen the connection between the party and the residents of Delhi.

Kejriwal has committed to personally addressing questions from the public through individual letters, which will be distributed to every household in Delhi by October 29.

During the launch, Kejriwal acknowledged that many residents have questions, particularly regarding his recent jail time. To address these concerns, he has penned a letter that will be delivered by AAP workers to the citizens of Delhi.

In his message, Kejriwal expressed that the opposition, particularly the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has targeted him and other AAP leaders because of their commitment to public service, especially in areas like education and healthcare.

Kejriwal claimed that the BJP is threatened by the progress made by the AAP and has attempted to undermine their efforts. He noted that they even tried to prevent his release from jail by halting his medical treatment.

He emphasised that the BJP’s actions are driven by a desire to regain power in Delhi, which could jeopardise public welfare programs such as free electricity, water supply, mohalla clinics, free medical treatment, and free bus travel for women.

He urged residents to consider the implications of voting for the BJP in the upcoming elections, suggesting that their victory could dismantle these essential services.

Reflecting on his experiences, Kejriwal remarked that if he had not been dedicated to serving the people of Delhi, he would not have faced jail time. He pointed to the contributions of fellow AAP leaders like Manish Sisodia, who worked to improve education, and Satyendar Jain, who focused on enhancing healthcare services. He maintained that their efforts to create better facilities for the public were the real reasons behind their arrests.

Saurabh Bharadwaj, an AAP MLA and Delhi Minister, also spoke at the event, stressing that the AAP is determined to reach out to every resident of Delhi through this campaign. He pointed out that Kejriwal has consistently addressed questions about his arrest.

Bharadwaj highlighted that the BJP's influence extends across 22 states, where citizens are questioning why the excellent services available in Delhi are not available in their regions. He argued that the BJP’s decision to arrest Kejriwal was a strategic move to stifle the success of the AAP and prevent their initiatives from inspiring change in other states.

In this context, the distribution of Kejriwal's letter is intended to clarify the party's stance and reassure the public of their commitment to welfare programs. The AAP aims to make its achievements known and encourage the people of Delhi to remain vigilant about their rights and the services provided to them.

The launch of the ‘Jan Sampark Abhiyan’ also included the presence of other prominent AAP leaders, including Delhi CM Atishi, ministers Gopal Rai and Saurabh Bharadwaj, and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. Together, they showcased a united front in their campaign to engage with the people of Delhi.
