Western Railway is gearing up to enhance travel convenience for passengers celebrating the festival of Holi by operating four pairs of special trains to various destinations, according to an official statement.
Sumit Thakur, the Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, announced the special trains aimed at meeting the travel demand during the festive season. These trains will cater to passengers traveling to different destinations to celebrate Holi on March 25.
The special trains include the Bandra Terminus-Bhavnagar Superfast, Ahmedabad-Kanpur Central Superfast Weekly Special Train, Ahmedabad-Agra Cantt Superfast Weekly Special, and Ahmedabad – Agra Cantt Superfast Weekly Special.
The Bandra Terminus – Bhavnagar Superfast Special will depart from Bandra Terminus on March 24 at 11:15 hrs and reach Bhavnagar the next day at 00:30 hrs.
The return journey, Bhavnagar – Bandra Terminus Superfast Special, will depart from Bhavnagar on March 23 at 19:00 hrs and reach Bandra Terminus the next day at 09:05 hrs.
The Ahmedabad-Kanpur Central Superfast weekly special train will commence its journey every Tuesday at 14:10 hrs, starting from March 19 to April 30. On the other hand, the Kanpur Central-Ahmedabad Superfast Special will depart every Monday at 15:35 hrs, operating from March 18 to April 29.
The Ahmedabad – Agra Cantt Superfast Special will depart every Thursday at 14:10 hrs from March 21 to April 25, while the Agra Cantt-Ahmedabad Superfast Special will operate every Wednesday at 20:20 hrs from March 20 to April 24.
Another set of trains, Ahmedabad – Agra Cantt Superfast Special, and Agra Cantt-Ahmedabad Superfast Special, will run from March 25 to April 29 and March 24 to April 28, respectively, departing on Mondays and Sundays.
These trains will halt at various stations en route, providing passengers with convenient travel options. The train compositions include AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class, and General Second Class coaches, ensuring comfort and accessibility for all travelers.
