'Har Ghar Tiranga' Campaign to Honor Independence Heroes Says HM Amit Shah.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has urged the public to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, emphasising that it serves as a way to remember the heroes of India's independence. He highlighted that the national flag, the tricolour, symbolises sacrifice, loyalty, and peace.

Shah mentioned that the campaign, which has been running for the past two years, is awakening a sense of unity among all Indians. He posted on X, inviting everyone to hoist the tricolour at their homes from August 9th to August 15th and upload selfies with the flag on the campaign’s website.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his 112th 'Mann Ki Baat' on July 28, called upon all Indians to take part in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to celebrate Independence Day.

He noted the growing trend of taking selfies with the national flag and sharing them on social media, urging party leaders and workers to ensure the national flag is hoisted on houses, offices, and shops from August 13th to August 15th.

The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative, started to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence. The initiative aims to invoke patriotism in people's hearts and promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative by the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of its people, culture, and achievements.

The Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India, who have been instrumental in bringing the nation to its current state in its evolutionary journey and hold the potential to enable PM Modi’s vision of activating India 2.0, driven by the spirit of Atma Nirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).

Amit Shah's call for participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is a reminder of the sacrifices made by those who fought for India’s independence. By encouraging the display of the national flag, the campaign seeks to foster a sense of unity and patriotism among citizens.

It is not just about hoisting a flag but about recognizing the significance of the tricolour and what it represents. The campaign's success over the past two years is a testament to the growing national pride and unity among Indians.

Prime Minister Modi's emphasis on the campaign during his Mann Ki Baat address underscores its importance. By encouraging people to take selfies with the flag and share them on social media, the campaign leverages modern technology and social platforms to reach a wider audience and engage more people.

This modern approach to celebrating independence and the national flag reflects the evolving nature of national celebrations and the importance of connecting with the younger generation.

The Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign are parts of a broader effort to celebrate India's independence and promote a sense of national pride and unity.

By participating in these initiatives, citizens can contribute to a collective celebration of India's journey over the past 75 years and the achievements of its people. The emphasis on a self-reliant India further underscores the importance of looking forward and building a strong, independent nation.

The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is a significant initiative that not only celebrates India's independence but also promotes unity and patriotism among its citizens.

By participating in this campaign, people can honour the heroes of independence and contribute to a collective national celebration. The campaign, along with the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, is a powerful reminder of India's journey and the potential for its future.
