HM Shah’s Bihar visit on Sept 18 to boost BJP’s poll plans.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Bihar on September 18 for a crucial meeting aimed at boosting the morale of BJP workers and shaping strategies for the upcoming Assembly elections.

The visit comes as part of the party’s heightened preparations, following recent visits by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President JP Nadda earlier this month.

Shah’s programme will be held in two sessions. The first half will be devoted to an interaction with party workers from Dehri-on-Sone in Rohtas district, while the second half will focus on workers from Begusarai.

The BJP has divided Bihar into five organisational zones, and Shah is scheduled to engage with leaders from two of them during this visit.

The Home Minister is expected to address around 2,000 to 2,500 BJP workers, including district presidents and MLAs. The meeting will emphasise electoral preparations and strategies, with Shah expected to guide party workers on one-to-one outreach with voters.

As part of the BJP’s campaign plan, booth-level leaders and workers will carry out a “Ghar Ghar Sampark Abhiyan” from Sept 18 to 25 under the party’s “Sewa Pakhwara” programme. During this initiative, they will inform people about the welfare schemes launched by both the state and central governments.

In a separate development, the Bihar Rajya Dharmik Nyas Parishad has invited Shah to attend a gathering of priests, seers, and saints from across the state on September 18.

The Parishad, which has 45,000 mutts and temples registered under it, has extended the invitation for an event at Bapu Sabhagar in Patna. However, there has been no confirmation from Shah’s office about his attendance.

Shah is also expected to return to Bihar on September 27 for further meetings with BJP leaders. These discussions are likely to focus on seat-sharing arrangements, candidate selection, and campaign strategies with alliance partners.

The BJP is targeting 225 seats, and joint workers’ conferences are being planned across all 243 Assembly constituencies as part of this strategy.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the Interim Terminal Building at the New Civil Enclave of Purnea Airport. He also laid the foundation stone and inaugurated multiple development projects worth around Rs 36,000 crore in Purnea.

The event was attended by Union Minister of Civil Aviation of India Ram Mohan Naidu, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, and Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Kumar Sinha and Samrat Choudhary.
