Amidst the rugged terrain of Poonch, tragedy struck as an Indian Air Force (IAF) convoy faced a cowardly terrorist ambush. In the aftermath, the nation mourns the loss of Corporal Vikky Pahade, a brave defender who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country.

The IAF, led by Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, salutes his valour and stands resolutely by his family in this hour of profound grief. The ambush, which occurred in the Sanai village of the Poonch sector, sent shockwaves through the region.

One brave airman fell, succumbing to his injuries, while others fought valiantly against the assailants. The swift response from security forces was evident as additional troops swiftly deployed to Jarra Wali Gali (JWG) in Poonch, reinforcing efforts to hunt down the perpetrators.

A relentless manhunt ensued, characterised by aerial surveillance and extensive ground operations. Security personnel, bolstered by the Rashtriya Rifles unit, initiated thorough search and cordon operations, with the support of the Army and police. Nakas were strategically laid, and rigorous checking was conducted, leaving no stone unturned in the pursuit of justice.

In the face of adversity, the IAF ensured the safety of its convoy and swiftly secured the targeted vehicles within the airbase vicinity near Shahsitar. The commitment to safeguarding national interests remains unwavering, even amidst the gravest of challenges.

As the nation grapples with this loss, the resilience of its armed forces shines through. The fallen hero, Corporal Vikky Pahade, will forever be remembered for his unwavering courage and dedication to duty.

His sacrifice serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by countless bravehearts in defence of the motherland. While the investigation into the ambush continues, the resolve of the armed forces remains unshaken.

Every effort is being made to ensure that those responsible for this heinous act are brought to justice. In this pursuit, the nation stands united, offering unwavering support to its defenders and solace to the grieving families.

As the sun sets over the rugged landscape of Poonch, a nation mourns its fallen hero, but also finds strength in his legacy. Corporal Vikky Pahade's courage will continue to inspire generations, serving as a beacon of hope and resilience in the face of adversity.
