Atishi Reviews Kashmiri Gate Camp For Kanwar Yatra Prep.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Minister Atishi recently visited the Kanwar Yatra camps in Delhi to inspect the preparations for the annual pilgrimage. Speaking to ANI, she highlighted that the largest camps have been set up at Kashmiri Gate, accommodating up to 2,000 Kanwariyas.

To prepare for potential rain, the camps have been equipped with waterproof tents, beds, and tables. Atishi emphasised that these arrangements ensure that the pilgrims will have a comfortable and safe experience despite the weather.

She explained that 185 camps across Delhi can collectively host around 10,000 people. Given the high likelihood of rain during the Sawan month, the camps are well-prepared with waterproof tents. Beds, tables, and food provisions have been arranged to meet the needs of the pilgrims.

Additionally, medical teams have been stationed at the camps to provide 24-hour care in three shifts. An ambulance is also available to transport individuals to the nearest LNJP hospital in case of serious injuries.

Atishi expressed that preparations for welcoming the Kanwariyas are thorough and ongoing. She reassured that the camps are ready to accommodate and support the pilgrims throughout their journey.

During her visit, Atishi also addressed the issue of nameplates outside shops, emphasising India's diversity and the harmonious coexistence of people from different religions and castes.

She criticised the BJP government for attempting to create divisions among people based on religion and caste. She accused the BJP of being anti-Dalit and using nameplates as a means to foster discord.

In her statement, Atishi asserted that in India, people of all religions, castes, and languages come together in devotion during festivals. She condemned the BJP's attempts to create disputes and stressed that the people of India will not forgive such divisive tactics.

Atishi's visit to the Kanwar Yatra camps underscores the AAP government's commitment to ensuring the safety and comfort of the Kanwariyas. The meticulous preparations and the provision of essential services reflect the government's efforts to support the pilgrims during their spiritual journey.
