Nitish Kumar hands out appointment letters to 6837 recruits.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made an important announcement on Tuesday as he distributed appointment letters to 6,837 new recruits across various government departments.

Among the new hires, 6,341 were junior engineers, while 496 were instructors, signalling the state’s commitment to improving public services and infrastructure.

The ceremony took place at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat communication room, attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, along with several ministers of the Bihar government.

This event marks a significant milestone in Bihar’s ongoing efforts to tackle unemployment and create more opportunities for its youth.

The Bihar government has long emphasised its goal of creating job opportunities for the state’s residents, and this event reflected its progress.

With a target to provide 12 lakh government jobs, the government has already successfully provided 9.13 lakh positions. The appointment letter distribution serves as a tangible example of the government’s efforts to fulfil this promise.

Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary highlighted the importance of these appointments, stating that the government had already surpassed a large part of its job creation target.

Between 2005 and 2020, a total of 7.5 lakh jobs were offered, showcasing the government’s long-standing commitment to employment generation.

Chaudhary went on to remind the audience that these jobs were a result of Nitish Kumar's leadership and that the Lalu Prasad family should not take credit for them. He also claimed that Nitish Kumar had consistently delivered on his promises, a sentiment that reflected in the event.

Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha also praised the appointment letter distribution, calling it a symbol of Bihar's progress under the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) government.

He criticised the previous government for failing to provide such opportunities during the tenure of RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) leaders, including Tejashwi Yadav, who previously held the position of Road Construction Minister.

According to Sinha, the NDA government had made substantial strides in providing employment for the state's youth, contrasting this achievement with the RJD's record.

In a direct challenge to Tejashwi Yadav, Sinha remarked that if Yadav wished to contest elections, he should campaign on his father's 15 years of governance rather than taking credit for Nitish Kumar's job initiatives.

Sinha further accused Yadav of lacking a clear vision or mission, labelling him as someone solely focused on promoting corruption.

The political tone of the event did not stop at local politics. Deputy CM Sinha also addressed the recent visit of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to Bihar, asserting that while people were free to travel as they wished, the citizens of India would only trust leaders who worked for their welfare.

He suggested that people would reject those born into privilege in favour of leaders who genuinely understood their needs.

In a pointed comment aimed at Delhi's political landscape, Sinha turned his focus to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Sinha described Kejriwal as a “political fraud,” confidently stating that after the upcoming elections, the BJP government would be formed in Delhi.

Sinha’s comments reflect the ongoing political rivalry and the campaign efforts of Bihar's NDA government, which continues to assert its influence in regional and national political discussions.
