The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled its initial candidate list for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections, with several notable names on the roster. The list, released on Wednesday, highlights the party's strategic choices as it prepares for the electoral battle.
Among the prominent candidates is Haryana Minister Anil Vij, who has been selected to contest from the Ambala Cantt Assembly constituency. Vij, known for his strong political presence, will be aiming to secure his position in this key area.
In another significant move, Shruti Chaudhury, the daughter of BJP Rajya Sabha MP Kiran Choudhury, has been given the party ticket for the Tosham seat. This decision underscores the BJP's focus on leveraging familial political ties to consolidate its position in the region.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is set to contest from the Ladwa constituency. His inclusion as a candidate for this seat reflects the party's confidence in his leadership and his role in the state's political landscape.
Additionally, the BJP has fielded former Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) MLAs who have recently joined the party. Devendra Babli, Ram Kumar Gautam, and Anup Dhanak will contest from Tohana, Safidon, and Uklana Assembly segments, respectively.
