Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during the 121st episode of his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' on Sunday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack will definitely get justice. He promised that the terrorists and those who planned the killing of 26 civilians will face the strictest punishment.

Speaking during his monthly Mann Ki Baat radio address, Modi said that seeing the pictures of the attack made the blood of every Indian boil with anger.

He stressed that the biggest strength of the country in this fight against terrorism is the unity and solidarity of its 140 crore citizens.

"This unity is the foundation of our strong fight against terrorism," he said.

Reflecting on the attack, PM Modi said it reveals the frustration of those who are desperate to derail the positive momentum seen in the region. He stressed that such acts of terror would not succeed in breaking India's resolve.

The Prime Minister also mentioned the outpouring of international support India has received following the attack. He shared that several global leaders had personally called him, sent messages, and written letters to express their solidarity with India.

Modi pointed out that the attack in Pahalgam, a popular tourist spot in Kashmir, showed the desperation and cowardice of the supporters of terrorism — hinting at Pakistan. He said the attack happened at a time when peace was returning to Kashmir, schools and colleges were full of life again, construction work was moving fast, democracy was growing stronger, tourists were coming in large numbers, people's incomes were rising, and new opportunities were being created for the youth.

He said, "Enemies of the country, enemies of Jammu and Kashmir, did not like these positive changes. Terrorists and their masterminds want Kashmir to be ruined again, which is why they planned such a big conspiracy."

The Prime Minister said he feels deep sadness over this major terror attack on civilians — the biggest in Kashmir in a long time. He added that this tragedy has hurt the heart of every citizen across India.

"No matter which state someone comes from or what language they speak, every Indian feels sympathy for the families affected," he said.

Modi continued, "I can feel that the blood of every Indian is boiling after seeing the pictures of this terror attack. I assure the affected families that they will get justice. The terrorists and those behind the attack will be given the harshest punishment."

He called on the nation to show strong willpower to face this challenge. "Today, after this attack, the entire country is speaking in one voice. We must stay united and strong," he said.

The Prime Minister also mentioned that many leaders around the world have called him, written letters, and sent messages to condemn the attack and express condolences to the families of the victims.

He said, "The whole world stands with the 140 crore people of India in our fight against terrorism."

On April 22, terrorists killed at least 26 civilians, mostly tourists, in Pahalgam. The attack caused national outrage, with many demanding a strong response from the government, especially against Pakistan, which has a history of supporting and sending terrorists across the border.
