In a related incident last Wednesday, students at two Delhi University colleges—Deshbandhu College and Ramjas College—were evacuated after both institutions received bomb threat emails, officials said. Police and bomb squads were immediately dispatched to the campuses, where a thorough checking of the premises was carried out.
Delhi Police confirmed that the threat emails were received by both colleges around the same time. Multiple police teams, along with bomb disposal squads and sniffer dogs, were deployed at the locations. However, no suspicious object was found during the searches, officials added.
Security forces have remained on high alert following the recent Delhi blast near the Red Fort, which has killed at least 15 people.
