Officials on Tuesday said that police have filed a case against almost 10 unidentified Maratha quota protesters. They are accused of attacking a passenger and damaging a BEST bus at a depot in Mumbai.
Protesters came together for the Maratha reservation protest at this place and reportedly attacked a passenger and damaged the bus at the Juhu depot on Sunday evening because of a disagreement about sitting in the same seat, they claimed.

A fight happened between protesters and some people on the bus when it was parked at the Juhu depot. The bus was rented from a private company, and the workers were not there at around 7:15 pm on Sunday, BEST said this on Monday.
Reportedly, protesters got on the bus, attacked a passenger and shattered a window before the bus staff arrived and attempted to calm the situation, as stated by police and BEST officials. In a video that has become very popular online, some protesters wearing saffron caps and scarves and some passengers are seen hitting and punching each other.
The bus drivers called the police, but both the protesters and the passengers ran away before the police got to the scene, said a spokesperson from BEST. After learning about the incident, the Juhu police on Monday filed a case against 10 to 12 unknown people under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for causing a riot, attacking others, and damaging public property, according to an official.
