The Central Government has officially notified the appointment of several Additional Judges as permanent judges in the Allahabad High Court and the Andhra Pradesh High Court. This significant decision, issued through the Ministry of Law and Justice on Wednesday, marks a critical step in strengthening the judiciary in these regions.
In the notification, the government highlighted that the appointments were made under the authority granted by the Constitution of India. The President of India, following consultations with the Chief Justice of India, approved the transition of these Additional Judges to Permanent Judges. Nine Additional Judges from the Allahabad High Court have been elevated to permanent positions. These judges include Justice Syed Qamar Hasan Rizvi, Justice Manish Kumar Nigam, Justice Anish Kumar Gupta, Justice Nand Prabha Shukla, Justice Kshitij Shailendra, Justice Vinod Diwakar, Justice Prashant Kumar, Justice Manjive Shukla, and Justice Arun Kumar Singh Deshwal.
Their new status as permanent judges solidifies their roles within the judiciary, allowing them to take on more responsibilities and make long-term contributions to the court.
In the Andhra Pradesh High Court, the notification announced the appointment of Justice Venkata Jyothirmai Pratapa as a permanent judge. Additionally, Justice Venuthurumalli Gopala Krishna Rao, who has been serving as an Additional Judge, has also been appointed as a permanent judge.
Their appointments reflect the government's commitment to ensuring that the judiciary in Andhra Pradesh continues to function effectively and efficiently.
