The Centre is likely to introduce the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha next week as part of its legislative agenda for the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament, sources said.
The proposed legislation seeks to amend the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA), which regulates the acceptance and utilisation of foreign contributions by individuals, associations and organisations in India. While the government has not yet disclosed the details of the proposed amendments, the Bill is expected to be introduced in the Lower House in the coming week.
The move comes as the government continues to advance its legislative programme despite repeated disruptions in Parliament over opposition protests related to the police action during the July 20 'Sansad Chalo' demonstration.

Alongside the FCRA Amendment Bill, the government is expected to take up several key pieces of legislation. These include the Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment) Bill, 2026, the Supreme Court (Number of Judges) Amendment Bill, 2026, and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Amendment) Bill, 2026 for consideration and passage.
The legislative agenda for next week also includes the introduction of the Indian Statistical Institute Bill, 2026 and the Bankers' Books Evidence Bill, 2026.
In addition, the Lok Sabha is likely to discuss the Demands for Excess Grants for 2022-23 and consider the related Appropriation Bill.
The Monsoon Session of Parliament, which began on July 20, is expected to witness discussions on several important Bills as the government seeks to complete its legislative business despite continued political confrontations in both Houses.
